ROYAL PICTURES. The Dnrietown school benefit in connection with the Royal Pictures, last evening, was distinctly successful. Prof. Mac-'-kay gave a most interesting hypnotic entertainment, the largo audience being kept in roars of laughter. “The Sleeping Beauty,” by the pupils of the Dimetown school, was excellent, reflecting credit on teachers and pupils alike. The Royal Pictures put on the great picture play “Snow White,” which was par iculariy appropriate, being adapted from Grimm’s well-known fairy tale of that name. The Royal Pictures promise a treat to their patrons this evening. ' In addition to “Snow White,” which proved so popiilar lavt evening, a fine programme will be submitted, including dramas, comedies. lopicals and comics. To-morrow evening a great Nordisk drama,, “At the Wheel, ' will be produced. This deals with a tragedy of the sea, and is of absorbing interest. The film is 2101) feet in length and promises. l to cause quite a sensation. KING’S PICTURES. The King’s last evening gave a benefit performance in aid of Miss I. McDonald’s candidature in the Queen of the Carnival election. There was a large audience, and the evening passqd off very successfully. The same programme will be repeated tonight, and as it is a very fine one it can be safely recommended to all. The star film is “The Spell Hypnotic,” showing the efforts and final success of a young doctor to break the hypnotic spell east over his finance by an unscrupulous operator. The other pictures comprise drama'ic, scenic, topical, and comedy subjects, the whole making a splendid evening’s entertainment. AMERICAN • SMART SET. At the King’s Theatre, on Monday evening next, the American Smart Set will commence a season here.
