The Taranaki bowling ’team, in a tworink practice match against Waverley, were defeated by two points, the score* being—AA’ a verley 48, Taranaki 46. WANGANUI TEAM IN AVELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.—Special to Hskald.l MARTON JUNCTION, April 18. Yesterday the Wanganui team played Thorndon, and suffered defeat by 85 to to, the scores being— McEldowney 27 v Robertson 14. Wilson 30 v Rodwell 19. Ilobeu 28 v McFarlane 12.
In the afternoon Wanganui played Victoria, and again lost, the totals being 79 to 33, and tne individual scores—■ Keith 26 v McFarlane 18. Norwood 23 v Robertson 16. Hneston 30 v Rodwell 19. THE KEESING CUT*. Tho competition for the Keosing Cup could not be proceeded with on Saturday on account of the rain, and at a.meeting of the different skjps, it was decided, in view of the lateness of tho season, to leave the competition unfinished, the Wanganui club to continue holding the trophy.
