WARSHIPS TO BE COMPLETED IN TWO YEARS. Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright. Received March 31, 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, March 31. The Hon. Mr Holman states that the dock will probably be able to complete the warships in two years, the percentage charge upon the total cost representing 7 or 8 per cent, upon the cost of material and labour. The dock has nearly completed -ne work of putting together the destroyer Warrego, to bo launched on Tuesday. SHIPWRIGHTS WANTED. Received March 31, 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, March 31. The ’ superintendent at Cockatoo Island estimates that the cost of turning out the new warships will be over half a million. Dicv will require 3000 men to build them, but they arc not obtainable in Australia. They have got over 1000 shipwrights from England.
