NEW YORK, March 30. It is believed that the watchman perished in the lire at the Legislative Buildings at Albany. The Senate Assembly Chambers wore not seriously damaged. The library will cost a million sterling to restore*. The burned records include those of the Governors of New Amsterdam from 1630 to 1674, the original letters of Sir William Johnson, Georgo Washington, and Abraham Lincoln. The relies were preserved.
