At a meeting of Cabinet to-day, the fol lowing grants were approvedGisbornoEotorua .railway, -,£6000.; Catalins-Waima-haka, £5200; Eeefton-Inangahua railway, £5100; Kawakawa-Graham'town • railway, £2450; Bigg Hill Tunnel, £330; North Auckland railway; -£500; Stratford-Onga-rue railway, £500; Wairangi Railway Station, £790; Kawakawa-Hokianga railway, £2000; Euakituri bridge, £1000; Miotu Valley Eoad, £500; Weraroa Experimental Farm, £SOOO. Plans and specifications of the Kawakawa-Kaikohe '■ railway were .approved. Appropriations ’ approved also included a grant of £IOO for preliminary work in connection with the Lake Coleridge water power scheme.
