A meeting of the Hikurangi Miners' and Workers’ Union unanimously passed u resolution protesting against the action of the Government in ignoring tli6!recommendations of the Federation of Labour re appointments on the Royal Commission dealing with the sanitation, etc., of mines, and stating that unless the two representatives recommended by the Federation replace the two appointed ' Union members, they will refuse to give evidencu before the Commission.
