Tliere was a large yarding,,of sheep at Oalgsty and Co.’s Wanganui East sale 10-day. The dry spell had a decided effect on values, as well as the sheep. The prices realised un to the hour of going to press were as follow:
Sheep,—Aged Lincoln rams, ss; f.m. Lincoln'rams, 13s 6d and 15s 6d; f.m. Romney-rams, Bs, Ids; 15s; f.m. Shropshire rains, 5s 6d ami 13s; Southdown rams, £3; 2-topth. wethers, 11s lid; 4tooth wethers, 12s sd; wether lambs, 5s 7d; 2-tooth ewes (small), 7s; 2-tooth ewes, 11s sd; mixed 4 and 6-tooth and f.f.m. ewes* 9s 6d; f.m. ewes (poor), 2s 3d, 5s 6d; sound m. owes (poor), 2s 7d; mixed 2 and 4-tooth ewes, 8s lOd; mixed woolly lambs) 5s lid.
