ROTORUA SHOOTING INCIDENT.

DEATH OF BECCS.

(Per United Pram Association.) ROTORUA, January 26. R. R-'Beggs. who attempted suicide at the grayc of his wife in Rotorua cemetery on Christmas morning, died this afternoon at 3 o’clock, after lingering for 31 days. After wounding himself he was removed to the accident ward at the Sanatorium, where he remained until hi* death. No one was permitted to see him, and he was looked after day and night. Up to Monday there were hopes of saving his life, but that night he showed serious symptoms, and this morning was la a comatose stale, and remained so until he died. There is a feeling among some of his acquaintances that they should have been permitted to see him while he was conscious.
