REVISION OF RULES.

AUCKLAND, September 30. At a meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union, hel dto-night, an unofficial letter was read from Mr Howe, secretary of the Metropolitan Union of New South Wales, asking if the Auckland Union would discuss a proposal to send across a representative team to the Mother State next May to play a series of representative matches. After a short discussion the matter was deferred for future consideration.

The Auckland Unoin has decided to be strongly represented at the New Zealand Rugby Union Conference on Rugby rules, to be held at Wellington on October Bth. Messrs Sheahan, Ohlson, Stichbury, and Fruode, of the management committee of the Auckland TTnion, ha-ve beeu appointed to attend it.
