THE KAIERAU CLUB.
Given fine weather, it is confidently expected that there will be a very large attendance at the match to be played on the Rec. on Saturday afternoon next, commencing at 3 o'clock, between teams picked from past and present wearers of the maroon jerseys. Two strong teams are being got together, and the game should be a very interestin gone. A^small charge for admission will be made in aid of the local Union's accident fund.
The following is the Kaierau Old Timer* team for next Saturday: — T. A. Blyth, L. Furrie, A. Takarangi, D. Dustin, W. Gordon, C. McLean, L. Fremont, A. E. Bullock, R. G. McLean, P. Fowler, G. Morgan, T. T. Bell, M. Ryan, H. Campbell, J. Price, J. McLean, W. Watson, and A. Pownall.
GUARDS v HIGHLANDERS.
The match between the above teams will take place on Saturday afternoon on the Rec., at 1.45 sharp. Both teams are requested to be on the ground punctually to time, as the Kaierau-Old Timers game follows at 3.15 p.m. The Guards will play in maroon (Kaierau colours) and the Highlanders in red and black (Wanganui colours). The Guards team is as follows: — Allen,. Boyd, Brider, Cole, Cooper, Faire, Cameron, Haase, Joyce, Kench (S\ Mitchell, Manson, Pettigrew, Rohloff; Walker.
The following will represent the Wanganui Thirds against the Fourths on Victoria Park on Saturday next, at 3 p.m.: — Chapman Faire, Spurdle, Ring, Dickie, Boyle, Williams, S. Swan, Park, Davies F. Swan, Key, Nash, Bridges, Laird and McDonald. All the above are requested to be at Newham's studio at 2 p.m. sharp to have their photos taken.
