At the Magistrate's Court to-day, Mr Riddell, S.M., gave judjnpent in connection with three informations against William Scott, of having entered into bets at Riccarten on Aucgust 14th with Percy H. Brierley, that if the horses ProSpector, Gazeley, and Shrapnel won certain races, sums of money should be paid to Brierley, and the amounts would be dependent upon the working of the totalisator. His Worship imposed a fine of .£ls on the first information, and £2 10s on each of the other two, with total costs of £l sa.
