PALMERSTON BOROUGH WORKS.
(Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Dcember 2. The Borough Council last night accepted a, tender for .the supply of pipes for 'town drainage at ,£14,540. It has also been decided to rai,se a loan of .£6OOO for protective works to the Manawatu River, and tn straighten and deepen the stream running along the outskirts of the town.
