OLD BOYS (30) v. T.Y.M.I. (0).
This match was played on the College ground, and resulted iv an easy win for Old Boys by 30 points to nil. T.Y.M.1., who could onJy muster 13 men, and were without the services of two of their best men, viz., Sharpe and Anslow, were completely outclassed in all departments of the game, but, notwithstanding, played a plucky uphill game. In the first spell the Old Boys, playing with the wind, rattled up 20 poiuts, 'but on changing ends they appeared not to exert themselves unless they were in any danger. Tries were scored by Meuli (2), Craig (2), Pownall, Anderson, Dymock, .and Jones, of which three wore converted.
For the losers Corby shone out by himself, and Laird aJso showed good form, but were poorly backed up by the rest of the team. Of the bines' vanguard, Anderson, Murray, and Armour were the pick, while Meuli, Pownall, and Dodgshun were the best of the backs. Mr T. Bell rcfereod in a most impartial manner.
