DIVORCE.

IIUUIAN V. HVBJRN AND CARROLL. This was a petition by the husband, Edward Harman, against his wife, Alice Harman and William Carroll, co-respon-dent, claiming a dissolution of marriage on the ground of adultery. Mr Barnicoat appeared for petitioner, but there was no appearance of respondent or co respondent. Evidence was given at some length as to the intimacy existing between the respondent and the co-respondent. The parties were married at Nelson on the 22nd December, 1886, and for a time lived happily together. After a while they removed to Blenheim, and while witness was working away from home tho corespondent frequented the plaintiff's home. He stated that he had frequently protested to his wife that he would not put up with things as they were, and finally his wife told him he could go, as she did not want him. He said lie would take the child, but she replied that he would not, as she would rather kill it. Respondent and co-respondent were now living together as man aud wife at Wanganui. His Honor granted a decree imi, to be made absolute at the first sitting after three months.
