Saturday last was anything but an inviting day for bowls, owing to the high wind prevailing in the earlier portion of the afternoon, while later on the weather was uncomfortably cold. Nevertheless, enough for more than four rinks mustered, and, by way of variety, it was decided to play "under and over" — that is, under and over the age of 45.
