(Per United Pi ess Association.) Gisbohne, March 29. The body of a man (apparently middleaged), in an advanced state of decomposition, was found in a ditch near the Park Racecourse yesterday. It was totally unrecognisable, and there was nothing about it which can be identified, A bottle half full of rum was by its side, and a hymn book in a pocket, No one is known to be missing. AVixi.in'qton, March 22. The Government pioduce expert in London reports that though a \eiy,' small quantity of meat came to hand the pieceeding month the trade remained exceptionally dull with low prices. There is no increase jn demand for New Zealand mutton, and Mr Cameron again urges that producers Bhould seriously consider the best means of extending the market. For the few lambs in the market the prices are good, though some of them are by no means creditable specimens. Tho money deposited by foreign insurance companies with the Public Trustee will henceforth bear interest at one instead of three per cent. Each company has a deposit of £10,000.
