CRUELTY TO A CHILD.
(Per United Press Association.) DuKEMf , March 16. At tbe Port yeitfrday John Caple was fined £5, in default 30 days, for beating his son with a stick on the arms and legs because he brought a wrong message. The Bench considered the punishment exceedingly cruel.
