Messrs Shepherd, M.H.R., Bishop Sufcer, and the Rev. J. C. Andrew have been reelected to the Education Board. Mr Shepherd, at the meeting of the Board, said that nothing could be more profligate than the m 'nner in which borrowed money was spent on educational matters. The idea of repairing houses and purchasing black-boards was preposterous, and could not last The Board should only vote money for absolutely necessary purposes. He did not think the extra 5s cipitation would be permanent.
