At tho annual meeting of the Harbor Board held to-day, the chairman's report, and accounts for the year 1863 were adopted. Report says of the Harbor works: — "It is gratifying to note that, in spite of the heavy seas that have prevailed, no portion of the finished work has suffered, and that the level of the breakwater has shown no sign of subsidence. In the second place, that travelling shingle is now kept in thorough subjection, and makes no atteoipt to accumulate adjacent to the breakwater, and has not advanced but receded during the last three years. The net proceeds of the £100,000, £94,841 was placed to the Board's credit on the 12th instant. Of this £25,735 has been spent, and £56,494 was allotted principally on 500 feet of breakwater, contract now in hand, and 150 feet of wharf yet to be commenced, and the new crane which is to cost £3496, leaving £17,740 for future allocations. So far the accounts state that £130,000 has been spent on the breakwater and wharf The total expenditure by the Board from and in 1877 to December 31st last is £173,160.
