ENGLAND TO CAPE
ATTEMPT ON RECORD. BY RUMANIAN PRINCE. LONDON, Saturday. Prince Constantin Cantacuzene, of Rumania, aged 27, flying a Caudron Renault machine with a top speed of 237 miles an hour, and a radius of 3700 miles, departed from Hatfield in an attempt on the England-Johannesburg and the England-Cape Town records. He plans to make only two stops, the first in the south Sahara and the next in Central Africa. He -will sleep in brief snatches, using ,an automatic pilot. A FORCED LANDING. (Received Monday, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday., Prince Cantacuzene made a forced ianding in Algiers, owing to mechanical trouble, but later continued his journey.
