CELERRATION IN EUROPE BIG LONDON PROCESSION. Press AssujimlJki Eleetvin Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Saturday. Europe .spent a varied May Day. London had the largest Labour and Communist procession in its history. It extended over four miles and included a thousand ’bus strikers, some carrying Red flags. Moscow staged a gigantic military parade, with fifty thousand troops and two hundred tanks; hundreds .of modern fighters and bombers roaring overhead. Berlin witnessed a display of troops and hundreds of military aeroplanes. Paris had vast Labour demonstrations and work was brought to a standstill throughout the country. Warsaw had a Communist demonstration which was dispersed by the police. A child was trampled to death and otherse were injured. • i: v'l Other celebrations throughout Europe were peaceful, except in Madrid, which the insurgents shelled. Loyalist troop's between bombardments played football in the streets. Everyone at Bilbao remained at work. SYDNEY OBSERVANCE. SYDNEY, Sunday. Three hands and 5000 marchers comprised a May Day procession to the Domain this afternoon. The marchers carried “banners relating to all subjects Avherein the Labour movement is concerned and included many women and a number of children. The demonstration was orderly.
