WHEELBARROW RACE
SIX HUNDRED MILE EVENT. SYDNEY, Sunday. Cheered by two thousand people, William Danvin, a member of the Brighton Council, and drum-major of the Brighton Municipal Band, set off this afternoon in an attempt to push a fellow bandsman, William Amiguct, from Brighton to Sydney in a ■wheelbarrow in ten weeks, the distance being six hundred miles. There is a £3OO wages attached to the event. The barrow is stream-lined and is fitted with a windscreen.
