BRITISHER CAPTURED
PRISONER OF WAHABIS. JERUSALEM, Saturday. Lieutenant Joseph Chamberlain, son of Sir Austen Chamberlain who is sc-rving with the trails-Jordan Frontier Force, is reported to have been captured by Wahabis while on a pleasure excursion with a patrol in Hedjaz territory.
A COMEDY OF ERRORS. NO ILL FEELING. (Received Monday, 10.25 a.m.) LONDON,, Sunday. Lieut. Chamberlain was 1 in charge of two army transport cars on 14st July when he inadvertently crossed the frontier and was detained. A Foreign Office official told the "Sunday Times” that the land was all desert and there was nothing to mark the border. It was really a comedy of errors and there was no ill An Ammon message says that Lieut. Chamberlain’s release has been arranged through the diplomatic channels.
