WIN FOR STRICKLAND. INVERCARGILL, Monday. The professional heavyweight boxing championship of New Zealand changed hands this evening, when Maurice Strickland, of Wellington (12.9) knocked out Ray Nichol, of Ohai (12.8), in the twelfth round. In a special preliminary, Johnnie Leckie (9.2) beat S. Brooks (9.8). (P.A.)
