BORN ON EXPRESS TRAIN. LONDON, Saturday. The “Flying Scotsman,” en route from London to Edinburgh, was.held up for 45 minutes at Alnmouth, owing to Mrs Sarah Monaghan, of Bathgate, giving birth to triplets .in a compartment.

She was attended by two medical students aboard the train, while a doctor and ambulance were hurriedly summoned. The woman was rushed to the Alnmouth infirmary, four miles away.. The triplets did not survive. The woman is stated to be progressing.-
