MINING DISPUTE
SETTLEMENT REACHED. GREYMOUTH, This Day. The sixteen weeks dispute at the Puponga colliery, Nelson, has been settled. Tonnage payment now replaces day wages, the rates being 1/6 a ton above anv on the West Coast.
Mechanical ventilation is also being nstalled in the mines.—(P.A.)
