UNITED KINGDOM FIGURES. LONDON, Thursday. The Board of Trade estimates a debit of £1,000,000 as the net balance of all transactions of a revenue character between the United Kingdom and other countries. In 1933 there was a credit of £2,000.000; in 1932, a debit balance of £51,000,000. The excess of imports in 1934 was £295,000,000, balanced by:—(1) Excess of Government receipts from overseas, £9,000,000. (2) Net national shipping income, £70,000,000. (3) Income from overseas investment, £175,000,000. (4) Receipts from commissions and other sources, £40,000,000. This leaves a debit "of £1,000,000. The Board of Trade Journal’s analysis of the distribution of Britain’s overseas trade shows that New Zealand supplied 5.52 per cent of Britain’s imports and took 2.8 per cent of Britain’s exports.
