OAMARU BOROUGH
LOAN CONVERSION. OAMARU, Friday. The conversion of Oamaru Borough loans totalling £281,000 has now been completed at the remarkably small cost of £l3B. The conversion scheme submitted by the Town Clerk; Mr J. Braitliwaite, was adopted by the council, the cost of converting representing a saving of £3OO to £4OO on a conversion on a percentage basis. Negotiations for the release of sinking funds and the consolidation of the loan held by the Public Trustee have also been completed, the whole conversion being considered exceedingly satisfactory (P.A.)
