METHODIST CHURCH
LADIES’ GUILD. SUCCESSFUL GARDEN PARTY. The members of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild and Missionary Auxiliary held their annual Garden Party at the home of Mr and Mrs Rogers, Essex Street, on Saturday afternoon. The uncertainty of the weather undoubtedly interfered with the attendance but the effort proved most enjoyable and a very satisfactory sum was realit ed. During the afternoon the opportunity was taken by members of the Guild to make a small presentation to an old and most loyal member, Mrs Richardson, who left Masterton today to make her home at Paraparaumu. The Rev. Stoekwell, in a happy speech, expressed the thanks of all concerned to Mr and Mrs Rogers for so kindly placing the lovely grounds at their disposal, also to all who had helped to make the party the happy gathering that it was.
