PA LAE ELSTON NORTH, Thursday. “I am certain that as soon as the Ottaiva Agreement lapses a quota Avill lie placed on our butter, no matter Avhat is said here in Ncav Zealand,” declared Air W. Nash, ALP., Avhcn speaking at a public meeting in the Opera House last night. . . Air Nash said that the imposition ot a quota Avould mean that there Avould lie bn inadequate market for the Dominion’s produce. Britain, because of tho road sho was travelling, Avas attempting to limit imports of da.iij produce, Avliile thousands of her children knoAv not the taste of a glass of milk. Britain’s hands Avere largely tied by agreements Avith other countries. 'Air Nash said that a quota Avould have been imposed 12 months ago had it not been for the Ottawa Agreement.— (F.A.) .
