GUARANTEED PRICES. A PARKVALE DECISION. CARTERTON, This Day. Air B. Roberts, avlio Avill represent the local dairy farmers at the conference called by the Prime Minister, addressed a meeting of dairy farmers at. Park vale last night. The members present Avere representative of the Dalefield, Taratahi, Kokotau and Parkvalc Companies. The speaker introduced his remarks Avith the title of “Crisis in the Dairy Industrv,” and maintained that the only solution to save the industry from insolvency Avas a scheme of a Government guaranteed internal price leA-el of, sav, Is 3d per lb. of butter-fat. Mr Roberts maintained that had this been done in the first place the Dominion Avould neA-er li.ia-c had the present difficulties nor the unemployed problem. At. the close of the address a resolution Avas passed: —“That this meeting of dairy farmers of Parkvalc believes that- only a national scheme of guaranteed price's is adequate to deal with the national disaster Avhicli is facing the dairy industry, and supports its representative in urging a national dairy conference along the lines outlined.— (P.A.)
