'California and West Virginia to-day joined the fourteen States which have already ratified the repeal of the prohibition amendment. According to early returns, the wet majorities are approximately two to one ■in both States. SIXTEEN STATES VOTE “WET.”' (Received Thursday, 8.40 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Wednesday.Sixteen States have now voted to strike the IStli Amendment from the United States Constitution, viz., West Virginia, California, New York, New Hampshire, Indiana, Connecticut, lowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Wyoming, New Jersey, Delaware, Nevada, Illinois and Massachusetts. The repealists must win twenty more States. The total number of States is 4S.
