LONDON SALES. PRICES DOWN. LONDON, Tuesday. Offerings at the opening of the wool sales to-day were 9027 bales, including 3301 bales New Zealand. Approximately 4110 bales were sold. There was a poor selection of Merinos, but a good lot of crossbreds. The sales attracted a large attendance of buyers. The Home trade was competing freely, but Continental buying was done rather sparingly.
