FIGURES COMPARED. (Received Tuesday, 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY 7 , This Day. Whilst the building trades of Melbourne and Brisbane, have shown considerable briskness in' recent months, stagnation lias become increasingly greater in New 'South Wales. , The figures for March show’that the buildings sanctioned in Sydney for that month werb valued at £84,280, compared with £411,905 in March, 1931. Melbourne figures for the first quarter of r 193 2: amounted to £494,346, ‘compared with £156,823 in 1931. Brisbane figuresfor April show- that new buildings sanctioned were valued at £125,7'93, which is an increase of £96,355 on the figures for April of last year.
