NEW ZEALAND TOURNEY. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The New Zealand Lawn Tennis championships were continued to-day. Good progress was made in all sections. The weather was beautifully line, and there was a large attendance. The presence of the New South Wales ladies lent additional interest to events in their sections. There were no surprises in the men’s singles, although in two instances prominent players were fully extended, xliis was notably the case with Stedman, who was taken to five sets by Smith, the Rotorua champion.
