Wall Street bankers have made a last-minute agreement to advance New York City £2,500,000 of the £6,500,000 required to meet immediate obligations.
The loan must be repaid AA-ith six per cent. interest in eleven days. The City Treasury is belieA’ed to be able to cover tlie remainder, but it is expected that unless it is able to negotiate neAv loans in the meantime, Ncav York Avill be virtually Avithout funds after February 1.
