“BADGER’S GREEN.”
LOSS ON PRODUCTION.
LONDON, Monday.
After the phenomenal success of “Journey’s End,” many feared that Sheriff would strike an anti-climax in the village comedy, “Badger’s Green.” It is now revealed that the first nine nights of the latter at the Prince of Wales’s Theatre lost £I3OO. Mr Maurice Browne says he would be prepared to lose £IOOO a week for ten weeks if he saw a chance of succeeding.
