PRESENTATION TO NURSE GREEN. To mark their appreciation of the valuable services rendered in the past three years or so by Miss Green, the Dental Clinic nurse (who is under transfer to Masterton), the executive committee appointed by the. various school committees, organised a farewell social, says the “Waipa Post.” This eventuated at the Borough Council Chambers, when, despite tho very wet AA-eather, practically every school dis-• trict served by the clinic was represented, Avhile the teaching staffs of the local school and a few of Miss Green’s friends Avere also present. (Applause.) On behalf of the subscribers, he asked Miss Green to accept the gift, with all good wishes for her continued success.

After Messrs G. S. Clarke (eliairman of the Dental Clinic Committee), Mr A; J. Shepherd (headmaster of the District High School, and late of the LansdoAvne School, Masterton), Mr G. O. Jourdain (secretary of the Clinic Committee), and Mrs W. H. Wood (until lately a member of the local School Committee) had supplemented the Mayor’s congratulatory and eulogistic remarks, Miss Green appropriately replied, and, concluding, bespoke for her successor the same kindly assistance extended to her at all tinies. The company then joined in singing, “For She’s a Jolly Good FelloAV,” and an adjournment Avas made for supper, proA’ided and served by the ladies. The school teachers of Te AAvamutu and district also made Miss Green a presentation of a set of crystal glassware.
