WEDDING.

ALLSWORTH-—SPORA. A very pretty wedding was celebrated this morning at St. Patrick s Church, by the Right Rev. Monsignor McKenna, Y.G., the contracting parties being Miss Alice Mary Spora, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Spora, of Belvedere, Carterton, and Mr Edwin (Ted) Allswortli, only son of Mr and E. G. Allswortli, of Te Parae, Masterton. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was attired in .a fiock of ivorv crepe do chine and wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of lilies and roses. The bride was, attended by Miss Eila Jones ns chief bridesmaid, who wore a frock of delphinium blue crepe de chine, with cream lace, and by Misses Olga Allswortli and Kitty Cairns as flower-girls, who were attired in pink and mauve dresses. Mr G. A. Russell acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs W. H. Allswortli, the bridegroom’s grandmother, where the usual toasts were honoured. The bridegroom’s gift to the chief bridesmaid was a string of pearls, and to the flower-girls gold armlets. After the wedding breakfast the hnpnv couple left by car for Wellington, cn route to Rotorua, the bride travelling in a rosewood crepe de chine ensemble suit, with hat and shoes to match. She wore xi set of furs, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of a large number of useful and costly presents.
