ITALIAN ACTIVITY. FORTIFYING THE FRONTIER. Press Association-Electric Telegraph-Copyright. ' (Received Tuesday, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, Monday.' The Daily News says that information received in -London has increased the mystery of the recent events on the Franco-Italian frontier. Italy has mounted 150 guns -between San Remo and Ventimiglia, reconstructed mountain roads enabling the passage of guns, and erected blockhouses. Similar precautions have been, taken on the French sidej wlicwj the t forts have been re-armed and re-occupied. An infantry regiment moved from Marseilles is now stationed at St. Martin Vesuble, close to the frontier.—Sun.
