FEILDING SHOW.
THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) FEILDING, Tuesday. The Feilding Show was opened today by the Hon. W. Nosworthy, Minister of Agriculture. The Minister congratulated the district on tlio stock exhibits. He stated that the Government had arranged to send a ship to the Argentine early in March, and appealed to Romney breeders especially, and to apple growers, to help make up a cargo. The exhibits show an increase on last year, the improvement in the fat sheep and lamb classes, Jerseys, and Shorthorns particularly reflecting the good season. Following aro the champions: Shorthorn bull and cow, Sir Walter Buchanan; Hereford bull and cow, Mr. A. E. Sandilands; Foiled Angus bull and cow, Mr. J. F. Knight; Ayrshire bull and cow, Mr. A. Montgomerie; ‘Jersey bull, Dr. Watson; cow, Mr. H. J. Lancaster; Friesian bull, Bloomfield Farm Co.; cow, Mr. H. R. Green; Milking Shorthorn, bull, Mr. R. V. Browne; cow, Mr. J. De La Haye; draught horse, Donald Estate; Romney ram, Mr. F. W. Jacob; ewe, Mr. J. Knight; Lincoln, ram, Mr. W. Howard Booth; ewe, Mr. T. R. Taylor; Southdown ram and ewe, Mr. J. Knight; Shropshire ram, Mr. G. L. Marshall; ewe, Sir Jas. Wilson; maiden hunters’ competition, Desmond Bros.’ Bendigo.
