IRISH PROBLEM.
DEFYING THE GOVERNMENT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association) (Received Thursday, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, Wednesday. The Gaelic Athletic Association, as a direct challenge to the Government's proclamation, propose holding sports festivals throughout th e country on Sunday week, and not asking permission. The Sinn Fein brnncho.s have been instructed that they must not ask or accept permits to hold demonstrations. The General Workers' Union and also the Hibernians and United Irish League are acting similarly in defiance of the Government.
