A BOY DROWNED.
CHILDREN ATTEMPT RESCUE
(By Telegraph —Press Association.) OAMAR U, Wednesday.
At tho inquest on the lad Walter Brown, of Christchurch, who was drowned off tho Oamaru beach yesterday, evidence was given which showed that two children named Metcalf displayed commendable pluck in attempting to reseae him. A verdict of death by accidental drowning was returned.
