KEEN COMPETITION CONTINUES.

(.Received Thursday, at 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Wednesday. There is keen competition by English and Continental buyers for fine-haired wools at full opening rates. Crossbreds are firm, and prices unchanged. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operat-ive Association, Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cablegram froni their London agents, under date 14th. January:—"The first series of wool sales opened to-day, and were well attended by Home, Continetal and American buyers. Competition was animated and prices are practically unchanged. Fine and medium Crossbred shows no quotable change. Coarse Crossbred sold at par to 5 per cent, decline,, as compared with closing rates of previous sale. " Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., have this morning received the following cablegram from Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., London, under date 14th January, 1913:—"Sales have opened firm. Market shows no material change, except for greasy Merinos, which have advanced a shade.' ;
