Mr W. Elliott is erecting a fine new residence, and Mr S. Priest is also putting a largo addition ou his place. Building, stumping and clearing, are proceeding apace—ovidouco of the good times now being enjoyed by dairy farmers. The local cheese factory is holding a special general meeting next month, to consider importaut proposals for the alteration of the artioles of association.

A shower of rain would be very welcome just now. The pastures are beginning to show the effect of tho long spell of dry weather. The cows still continue to milk well. The supply of milk to the oheese factory is keeping up well, everything pointing to a very successful season.
