MOTOR ACCIDENTS.

(By Telegram—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Last Night

A sensational motor accident occurred this afternoon at Awapuni. Mr R. S. Abraham, of tho firm of Abraham aud Williams, Ltd.. was motoring out from Mr Alan Strang's residence in his Wolseley-Siddely car with Mr Craw beside him. Just as he got out of the drive, he found auother car on the road, of which ho had no warniug. Hastily seeuing to put ou the brakes the accelerator was touched, and the sar, in the effort to avoid the other, dashed through the bridge and iuto the big lagoon, turning completely over as it did so. Mr Abraham escaped with an injured hand but Mr Craw had a rib broken aud sustained a bad shaking. Probably the circumstauce of lauding in the lagoon saved both of their lives.
