FUDGE CAKE. ■ _. Cream together one cupful of sugar aud two-thirds of a cupful of butter, add one cupful of milk. Stir m lightly two aud one-half cupfuls of flour, into which one" heaping spoonful of baking- powder has beeu sifted. Then stir in one-fourth cupful of melted chocolate. Add oue half cup of walnuts broken od coarsely, and lastly three eggs beaten separately. For the fudge frostiug use one and one-half tablespoousfuls of butter aud one half cupful of unsweetened cocoa, aud oue fourth cupful _ of confectioners' sugar, a few grains of salt, and one fourth cupful of milk. Heat to boiling point and , <-< boil eight minutes. Remove fronJfc fire, and beat until creamy. Add half teaspoouful of vamlia, and then pour over cako to depth of one-quarter inch. With the fudge case serve Elephant Brand tea. The flavour of this ..tea is most agreeable, it possesses body and strength, aud is remarkably rich in the elements of good tea. Elephant Brand tea at 2a 2d per lb is sold by most storekeepers in this locality.*
