MARLBOROUGH JUBILEE.
(By Telegravh—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Last Night. The Jubilee cslebratious to-day were an unprecedented success, inducing a record crowd of residents aud visitors
from other parts. ;
Over twenty members of Parliament participated iv the ceremonies, aud also the Mayors of Duuediu, Nelson and North East Valley (Dunedin).
Heavy rain marred the Gubernatorial fuuctiou in Market Place, and after Lord Plunket had replied to the address of welcome, the speechifying was postponed to the old identities' banquet iv the Town Hall in the afternoon. At that banquet the speakers included his Excellency the Governor, Hons. T. McKeuzie aud Buddo, aud Messrs Massey, Laur.nsou, Parata, J. Allen and J. Duncan.
Other celebrations of the day were bullock-roasting by Maoris, a cantata in tho Town Hall and fireworks.
Tho Governor was entertained at a Masonic banquet in the evening and will atteud the A. and P. Show to-
morrow
The majority of the Parliamentary party have returned to Wellington.
