Inquiries were made by a New Zealand Times reporter yesterday concerning the possibility of the three lifebelts which have been picked up on the beach in Palliser Bay having come from the missing steamer Duco. The Wellington Harbour Ferries, owners of the Duco, state that the lifebelts ou that vessel had no blue design, as on the three lifebelts picked up. The Duco's lifebelts were quite plain without a pattern.
