RECENT LAW EXAMINATIONS.
A MASTERTONIAN WINS
DISTINCTION.
MR HUMPHREY O'LEARY, LL.B.
The success of Mr Humphrey F. O'Leary, son of Mr H. J. O'Leary, of Masterton, at the recent law examinations, calls for special mention. Mr O'Leary is an old Masterton High School boy, who was always noted for his punctual and regular attendance and general brilliancy, and his achievement of winning two scholarships— the Queen's and an Education Board scholarship—before the age of thirteen, gave an indication of what might reasonably be expected of him. Mr O'Leary has distinguished himself since by securing a pass at every consecutive examination, and now, at the age of only twenty-one, he finds himself entitled to be admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court, and a Bachelor of Laws in addition. Mr O'Leary has been in the office of Messrs Wilford and Levi since leaving College, and has attended the law lectures at Victoria University College. He is the first Masterton buy to attain the distinction of LL.B., and he and his parents have received numerous congratulatory messages on the occasion.
